Job summary

Sunnybank Private Hospital is seeking Orderlies to join our team. You will play a key role in supporting patients and staff, ensuring a smooth and comfortable experience during care. The role emphasises safety, teamwork and a welcoming environment.

Casual shifts are available across our hospital; you will be part of a dedicated team delivering outstanding service. Prior hospital experience is desirable, and eligibility to work in Australia is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a hospital environment (desirable).
• Ability to prioritise and organise work with minimal supervision.
• Availability for on‑call shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients and transfers using lifting equipment.
• Operate in line with WHS policy and procedures.
• Deliver excellent customer service to staff, clients and patients.
• Foster a hospitable and friendly environment for all patients.
• Support other tasks as part of the care team.

Sunnybank Private Hospital is seeking Orderlies to join our team. You will play a key role within a supportive team to ensure our patients have a great experience during their care.

With 109 inpatient Surgical and Medical beds, a rehabilitation gym, 7 operating theatres, 2 procedure rooms, a day oncology unit and an ICU, Sunnybank Private Hospital has been providing care to our local community for over 40 years and continually embraces the highest quality of holistic patient care.

As an Orderly your responsibilities will include:

• Patient Assistance and transfers including the use of lifting machine and bed movers
• Operate in line with WHS policy & procedures
• Deliver excellent customer service to staff, clients and patients
• Cultivating a hospitable and friendly environment for all patients
• Work as an active team member to support all work tasks
  
• Authority to Work in Australia
• Experience in a hospital environment (desirable)
• Working with Children check (if relevant)
• Commitment to service excellence
• Ability to prioritise and organise work, with minimal supervision
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• High level attention to detail
• Available for on call shifts
