Healthscope Hospitals at Nepean Private Hospital in Sydney is seeking an experienced Theatre Orderly to support patient care, assist with transfers and maintain cleanliness and readiness of operating theatres.

You will train extensively for the role, join a supportive team and commit long‑term in a fast paced hospital environment. A positive attitude and teamwork are essential to deliver outstanding patient experiences.

Qualifications

• Experience as a theatre orderly or in a hospital environment is desirable.
• Commitment to long-term role after extensive training.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital setting with attention to detail.

Responsabilités

• Assist patients and transfers using lifting equipment and bed movers.
• Housekeeping: clean beds, manage linen, restock equipment, waste handling.
• Handle dirty linen and ensure clean linen is available.
• Follow WHS policy and procedures.
• Provide excellent service to staff, clients and patients.
• Foster a hospitable, friendly environment for patients.
• Work as part of a team to support all tasks.
• Prioritize and organise work with minimal supervision.
• Commitment to service excellence.

Nepean Private Hospital is seeking an experienced Theatre Orderlies to join our team. You will take pride in your work, have a friendly and positive work attitude and achieving high standards of cleanliness and customer satisfaction, in this fast paced and varied environment. The ideal candidate will be able to commit to this role on a long-term basis following extensive training for the role.

About us

Nepean Private Hospital is located in the multi-cultural Western Sydney City of Penrith. The hospital is a modern 109 bed facility providing a wide range of health services to the local community since 2000 including: orthopaedics, spinal, gynaecology, ENT, plastics, urology and general surgery, endoscopy, cardiology, cardiac angiography and obstetrics.

Nepean Private Hospital has eight operating Theatres, one hybrid/cardiac catheterisation theatre and an endoscopy suite, supported by a critical care unit which includes intensive care.

As a Theatre Orderly your responsibilities will include:

• Patient Assistance and transfers including the use of lifting machine and bed movers.
• General housekeeping duties e.g. cleaning beds, organising linen, restocking of equipment, and waste management
• Remove dirty linen / ensure clean linen is readily available
• Operate in line with WHS policy & procedures
• Deliver excellent customer service to staff, clients and patients
• Cultivating a hospitable and friendly environment for all patients
• Work as an active team member to support all work tasks
• Authority to Work in Australia
• Experience as an theatre orderly or in a hospital environment (desirable)
• Vaccination and serology records prior to commencement
• Working with Children check
• Commitment to service excellence
• Ability to prioritise and organise work, with minimal supervision
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• High level attention to detail
