Job summary

Calleo Australia is seeking a Test Manager to lead QA process improvements and oversee testing across the development lifecycle in Canberra, with potential Sydney collaboration.

You will liaise with stakeholders to define clear acceptance criteria, design and maintain test strategies, manage defect verification, and ensure traceability from requirements to test cases while producing high-quality artefacts.

Responsibilities

• Lead QA process improvements and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the development lifecycle.
• Liaise with key stakeholders to understand business risks and impacts, and to define clear, measurable acceptance criteria for new or enhanced software features.
• Collaborate with development teams to understand system architecture, integrations, constraints, infrastructure, risks and downstream impacts of change.
• Design, maintain and execute comprehensive test strategies, plans and test cases, including regression testing to ensure ongoing system stability and quality.
• Manage defect identification, analysis, logging, prioritisation and verification of fixes through re-testing.
• Ensure full traceability between requirements, acceptance criteria, test scenarios and test cases.
• Select, apply and document appropriate test techniques and methodologies to support effective test coverage.
• Produce and maintain high-quality test artefacts, including test plans, reports and metrics.

Due to the nature of this role, this job is open to Australian Citizens only. Candidates who currently hold or able to obtain Federal Government Security Clearances are highly desirable.
