Araza is partnering with a leading Australian department to deliver high-quality projects in intelligence, cybersecurity, and strategic operations. This Canberra-based contract role focuses on ICT project management and end-to-end testing for event critical IT systems during national initiatives.

The role requires at least five years' ICT project management experience, strong stakeholder engagement, and proven ability to manage resources and risk under tight timelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in managing ICT projects to deliver to time, cost, quality, and scope
• Demonstrated experience in planning and delivering test assurance activities under scheduled timelines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate with influence, effectively interpret and synthesise technical information, and interact with people with diverse backgrounds and levels of seniority
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strategic relationships and manage expectations across varied stakeholder groups
• Ability to effectively manage high volumes of work and competing priorities, including the ability to adapt and respond to change and manage changing team and stakeholder needs
• Ability to work with limited direction and a strong commitment to working harmoniously within a team to achieve positive results and support the AEC’s strategic direction

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day event IT activities, including end-to-end testing, capacity/load testing, disaster recovery, business continuity, and production verification testing
• Assist in coordinating resources to deliver required outputs
• Provide timely, risk-aware advice during events to ensure continuity of operations
• Ensure implementation and maintenance of IT event systems to protect assets
• Prioritise development to allocate resources efficiently during events and otherwise
• Contribute to doctrine, election preparation and delivery within readiness framework
• Perform additional duties or take on other functions as directed
