About the role

As the Test Automation Lead, you will drive the adoption and maturity of test automation across multiple teams and technology stacks within CSC, with a strong focus on TOSCA as the primary automation tool. You will also get to apply deep technical expertise, strategic thinking, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

You will design and implement scalable automation solutions across APIs, web applications, Salesforce, databases, desktop and other applications, and work closely with stakeholders to define automation scope, deliver measurable value, and mentor junior team members to build internal capability and monitor that teams adhere to best practices. Additionally, you will also monitor adherence to automation best practices across teams to ensure consistent and high-quality outcomes.

Job Description
What you will be doing in this role
  • Drive the end-to-end automation strategy across various teams and platforms using TOSCA as the primary tool.
  • Design, build, and maintain reusable, scalable, and maintainable automation frameworks.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements, define scope of automation, and identify high-value test cases.
  • Develop automated scripts for regression, functional, integration, and data validation tests across APIs, web, Salesforce, databases, and desktop applications.
  • Coordinate and align with cross-functional teams to ensure automation efforts are integrated into delivery pipelines.
  • Advocate and demonstrate the business value of automation through reporting, metrics, and outcomes.
  • Mentor junior staff and testers, promoting best practices and building internal capability—even when they are not direct reports.
  • Support integration of automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure fast and reliable feedback loops.
  • Stay informed of industry trends and continuously assess new tools and approaches to improve automation coverage and efficiency.
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and high-quality delivery.

Specific duties, deliverables and reporting lines may vary, depending on business needs and priorities. Key objectives and measurements will be captured in the Performance & Development planning cycle, established annually and adapted as needed.

What we’re looking for
  • Proven experience with TOSCA for building test automation, including framework design, execution, and maintenance is required.
  • Demonstrated experience in testing Data and Analytics projects, including Data Engineering, data warehousing, reporting, and analytics.
  • Strong background in test automation principles, methodologies, and building scalable frameworks.
  • Ability to mentor teams on best practices in test automation within collaborative, cross-functional environments.
  • Hands-on experience with API testing using tools like TOSCA, Postman, REST Assured, or SoapUI.
  • Familiar with Agile methodologies, continuous integration tools, and both functional and non-functional testing principles.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or similar would be desirable.
  • Hands-on experience with API testing using tools like Postman, REST Assured, or SoapUI.
  • Experienced in performance testing using NeoLoad, alongside functional and non-functional testing principles.
  • Knowledge of financial services applications, including banking, payments, trading, superannuation, insurance or regulatory compliance.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based testing platforms and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across teams.
