Job summary

AC3 is seeking a Functional Automation Tester eligible to obtain a baseline security clearance to join a large Government Agency in Canberra. The role focuses on testing Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform apps, including Power Pages, Power Apps, and Dataverse solutions, to ensure quality and usability of business systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Test Analyst or similar role.
• Experience testing Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform (Power Pages, Power Apps, Dataverse).
• Ability to design test scenarios, execute tests, manage defects and validate end-to-end business processes.
• Experience in UI, functional, integration, system, regression, and UAT testing across web/enterprise apps.
• Strong test automation experience with UI regression and API/integration testing.

We are looking for a Functional Automation Tester eligible to obtain a baseline security clearance to work for a large Government Agency based in Canberra preferred - Hybrid work available.

You will be responsible for delivering manual and automated testing activities to support the Agency's digital transformation initiatives. The role focuses on testing Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform applications — including Power Pages, Power Apps, and Dataverse-based solutions — and their associated business processes, to ensure the quality, reliability, and usability of business solutions.

Responsibilities

• Quickly understand new business processes, applications, and technologies, while effectively managing testing activities across multiple concurrent projects and competing priorities.
• Design, development, execution, and maintenance of automated regression tests — spanning both UI and API/integration layers — alongside manual testing activities, and ensure these tests run as part of the Agency's CI/CD delivery pipelines rather than purely on demand.
• Strong UI and API testing experience and a solid working knowledge of modern testing and development tools to support the delivery of high-quality business outcomes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience working as a Test Analyst or relevant experiences
• Demonstrated experience testing Microsoft Dynamics 365 and/or Power Platform applications (Power Pages, Power Apps, Dataverse)
• Ability to analyse requirements, design test scenarios, execute tests, manage defects, and support end-to-end business process validation.
• Experience performing UI, functional, integration, system, regression, and user acceptance testing across web-based and enterprise applications
• Strong experience in test automation and modern testing tools, covering both UI regression testing — using Playwright, Selenium, EasyRepro, or similar automation frameworks - and API/integration testing — using tools such as Postman/Newman, REST Assured, or Playwright
• Experience integrating automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps)
• Experience working in Agile environments
