ASIO is seeking a Terrorist Tactics and Weapons analyst to provide tactical advice and strategic threat assessments on current and emerging security threats. You will work with Government, Defence, law enforcement, academia and industry partners to stay ahead of threats.
Ideal candidates have several years in defence, national security or related fields, with strong researching and analytical capabilities and a drive to contribute to ASIO’s mission. TS-PA clearance is required.

The opportunity
ASIO’s National Threat Assessment Centre provides strategic threat analysis and advice. As a Terrorist Tactics and Weapons analyst, you will provide tactical advice and strategic threat assessment on current and emerging security threats. You will work closely with stakeholders across Government, Defence and defence industry, law enforcement, academia and the private sector – staying ahead of the threats that matter. Our assessments are impactful, insightful, accurate and actionable.
ASIO looks for candidates who are curious, resilient and enjoy problem solving. To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring several years of experience from a defence, national security, law enforcement or academic setting in an investigative or analytical role, and be ready for your next challenge.
