ASIO's National Threat Assessment Centre provides strategic threat analysis and advice. As a Terrorist Tactics and Weapons analyst, you will provide tactical advice and strategic threat assessment on current and emerging security threats. You will work closely with stakeholders across Government, Defence and defence industry, law enforcement, academia and the private sector – staying ahead of the threats that matter. Our assessments are impactful, insightful, accurate and actionable. ASIO looks for candidates who are curious, resilient and enjoy problem solving. To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring several years of experience from a defence, national security, law enforcement or academic setting in an investigative or analytical role, and be ready for your next challenge. Employment is under the Australian Security Intelligence Organisation Act 1979. Conditions of service are similar to those applying in the Australian Public Service. We recognise entitlements accrued under the Public Service Act 1999 and provide for continuation of superannuation under the Commonwealth schemes. Salary packaging arrangements are also available.
