Colten Care in Callington is seeking Qualified and Trainee Bus Drivers to operate our school buses on a reliable 30-hour weekly rota. You will transport school children to and from their schools, primarily during morning and afternoon shifts, with overtime possible during term breaks.

Candidates must hold a driving licence (≤6 points) and ideally have 2 years' driving experience; a DBS Enhanced Disclosure is required. We offer training and a supportive, career-friendly environment.

Qualifications

• Right candidate can be trained and moved to school bus rota.

Job Description

Fancy a change? We are looking for Qualified and Trainee Bus Drivers to driveour school buses in Callington!

Working on the Schools rota, the successful applicant will be primarily responsible for providing a first-class service through the transportation of school children to and from their schools.

You will take children to school in the morning, be free to do whatever you want in the daytime and then take them home again in the evening.

Overtime will likely be available – either between your shifts, at weekends or during school holidays – for those who want it. We can offer an immediate start date!

You willwork30 hours a week Mon-Fri, 41 weeks of the year (holidays to be taken when the schools are out).

You will earn

PCV Licence holders £13.00 per hour and £14.00 per hour Overtime

Trainee drivers £12.00 per hour first 12 months and £12.50 per hour Overtime for the first 12 months

Reporting to the depot's staff manager, you will enjoy a rewarding job of transporting school children and be able to work under your own initiative. In addition, you will be able to demonstrate a good record of reliability and punctuality and will be keen to ensure the continuing success of our school contracts.

Skills and Experience

We require you to be in possession of a driving licence (with no more than 6 points). Ideally, applicants should have at least 2 years' experience driving, and be able to demonstrate a good understanding of how customer service is vital to a successful bus service. However for the right candidate, we will happily train you, and then move you onto the school bus rota when you're ready. A current DBS enhanced disclosure will also be required; however, this will be provided.
