Job summary

Tender Pricing / Commercial Analyst role based in Melbourne, on a 3-month contract, focusing on pricing, costing and P&L modelling for multiple tenders. You will collaborate with Commercial Finance, Sales and Operations to translate data into accurate tender economics.

The role requires hands-on analysis of large datasets, reviewing pricing models and ensuring commercial sense across product/service lines. On-site five days per week in inner city or Southeast Melbourne.

Qualifications

• Experience with pricing, costing, financial modelling or P&L analysis.
• Strong commercial and analytical capability.
• Good practical Excel skills including pivot tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP and INDEX/MATCH.

Responsibilities

• Work across approximately three tenders at different stages.
• Review pricing and cost models using established Excel templates.
• Analyse multiple product/service lines and their underlying economics.
• Model key cost drivers including labour, fleet, fuel, frequency, processing costs, subcontractors, capex and overheads.
• Review pricing, margin and P&L outputs.
• Identify inconsistencies or assumptions that don’t make commercial sense.
• Partner with Commercial Finance, Sales/Business Development, Operations and tender teams.
• Work with large but relatively clean and structured datasets.
