Yalata Anangu School in remote South Australia invites applications for a Temporary EALD teacher for Years 7–12 to deliver the SA Curriculum/SACE.

Join a collaborative team, plan responsive EALD programs, support student wellbeing, and build strong pathways from school to work with families and community.

Yalata Anangu School offers a unique opportunity to live and work in a vibrant remote Aboriginal community on the iconic Nullarbor Plain, approximately 200 kilometres west of Ceduna and surrounded by stunning coastline.

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative school team and to teach an EALD class in Secondary 7-12 utilising the South Australian Curriculum/SACE

In this role, you will:

• work alongside committed R-12 educators
• contribute to curriculum planning and responsive teaching programs
• support the school's focus on EAL/D education
• help strengthen student engagement, wellbeing and achievement
• build positive relationships with students, families, staff and community
• support students in building strong pathways from school to future opportunities, including school-to-work transitions

We are seeking a teacher who is adaptable, relational, reflective and committed to culturally responsive practice in a remote community context.

Teachers at Yalata may be eligible for a range of incentives and supports, including:

• up to $20,000 per year in Country Zone and Locality Allowances
• fully subsidised furnished accommodation, including utilities (accommodation may be shared)
• relocation and removal expenses
• four paid travel days per term
• assistance with travel and accommodation costs for medical and dental treatment
• support to reduce HELP debt, including waivers of indexation for eligible teachers in remote areas
