The Heights Technical College in South Australia invites applications for a temporary Numeracy teacher. This role supports Years 10–12 as part of integrated VET and academic pathways, delivering literacy and numeracy programs within state-of-the-art facilities.

We value industry-aligned teaching and collaboration with external partners. Part-time and flexible arrangements are considered, with tenure from 21/01/2027 to 02/07/2027 and a ETE focus on Mathematics to Year 11.

Formación

• Teaching qualification and registration with the Teachers Registration Board of South Australia
• Ability to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Strong communication and relationship-building with students, families and colleagues
• Experience in industries related to Advanced Manufacturing & Engineering, Aeroskills, Building & Construction, or Early Childhood & Education (desirable)

Responsabilidades

• Deliver literacy and numeracy programs aligned to SACE pathways
• Collaborate with teachers, RTOs, universities and employers to develop contextualised literacy and numeracy programs
• Plan and implement innovative literacy and numeracy opportunities for Year 11
• Support learners requiring additional help and stretch within their learning

About theRole

We’re lookingfor teachers who:

• Arepassionate about supporting all learners todevelop and grow their literacy & numeracyskills that aligns to studentpathways
• Have anability to work in collaboration with teachers,RTOs, Universities and Employers to plan anddevelop innovative and contextualised literacy& numeracy programs to meet industryneeds
• Haveexperience in developing programs utilisingstudent agency and be able to support learnersrequiring additional support and stretch intheir learning
• Have anunderstanding of PBL or other innovativemethodologies to engage students and supporthigh level outcomes
• Can plan,develop and implement innovative literacy andnumeracy opportunities aligned to studentpathways
• Have a deepunderstandingof SACE Literacy or Numeracyrequirements and the flexibilities affordedthrough the subject outlines
