Job summary

Australian Char in Morwell is seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter & Turner for temporary work with an immediate start. You'll perform maintenance, preventative servicing, troubleshooting and repairs on manufacturing equipment (packing machines, conveyors, sensors, pneumatics/hydraulics), with on-call and overtime opportunities.

The position requires trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter & Turner (or equivalent), 4+ years’ manufacturing experience, good fault-finding and hands-on

Australian Char in Morwell is seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter & Turner for temporary work until the first week of December (with potential to extend).

On-call and overtime opportunities available

General maintenance, preventative servicing, troubleshooting and repairs on manufacturing equipment (packing machines, conveyors, sensors, pneumatics/hydraulics)

Fitting, turning, minor fabrication and welding

Requirements

• Good communication
• Trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter & Turner (or equivalent)
• 4+ years’ experience in manufacturing or similar environments
• Strong fault-finding and hands-on skills
• Current driver’s licence and reliable transport
• Commitment to WHSE standards

Highly Desirable

• Welding
• Confined Space, Forklift, HR Licence or other tickets
