My client is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented professional to assist with a security audit and access review at a residential building. This is a short-term, high-impact role with immediate start.

- Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and comfort handling system logs and data reconciliation
- Excellent communication skills - able to draft clear notices and liaise with residents and owners

- Able to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and prioritise under deadlines
About the Role
- Duration: Approx. 4 weeks (with potential for extension)
- Start: Immediately
- Location: Centrally located in the Perth CBD
- Hours: Flexible within business operating hours
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Systematically review and reconcile all current access credentials, with a focus on identifying unauthorised usage
- Compile an updated register of residents/owners using data from strata management, building management, and resident surveys; validate data as needed
- Perform a comprehensive audit: compare the active security access system against the official register to find mismatches or unauthorised credentials
- Analyse access logs (fobs, Bluetooth, PINs) to detect facility access without corresponding unit/apartment access
- Identify and document non-residents using communal facilities (without an associated resident)
- Review over-issuance of credentials for units with excessive numbers of fobs or access devices
- Identify non-resident credentials (excluding authorised contractors) and flag them for deactivation
- Under supervision, deactivate or remove unauthorised or excessive access privileges
- Assist with supporting administrative and data needs to develop and finalise a new Security & Access Policy
- Draft clear communications to residents/owners about the new policy
- Coordinate printing and posting notices in visible common areas to ensure awareness
- Document the methodology and findings of the review; provide a robust, recorded procedure for future audits
- Handle all resident personal data and access logs with care and confidentiality; prepare a final report summarising findings and actions taken
