Makarios Earthmoving in Mount Isa is seeking a Telecommunications Network Planner to design and coordinate our fleet telemetry and cloud-connected networks across North West Queensland. You will bridge heavy equipment assets with cloud data networks, mapping how telemetry, 3D machine control, and telematics feed back to primary databases.

Qualifikationen

• AQF Advanced Diploma in Telecommunications Network Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year in telecommunications network planning, infrastructure design, or cost estimation.
• Current manual driver’s licence and ability to pass site medical/drug screening.

Aufgaben

• Assess satellite, cellular, and radio coverage to determine bandwidth needs.
• Prepare network plans, route layouts, and frequency schedules linking fleet modules to site servers.
• Prepare scopes of work, BOQs, and cost estimates for deployments.
• Design data distribution paths and map telemetry and safety data flows.
• Analyze performance and recommend upgrades to meet contract requirements.
• Maintain complete technical documentation of network architectures and costs.
• Coordinate with operations, field techs, clients, and utility providers.
