Job summary

Service Stream is seeking an experienced Field Supervisor to lead telecommunications field crews across a busy portfolio in Victoria. You will supervise technicians and subcontractors, review designs, ensure safety and quality, and drive contractor performance to meet delivery targets.

Based in Epping with on-site responsibilities, you will mentor teams, coordinate activities with clients and authorities, and participate in on-call rosters to support network construction and maintenance

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience within external telecommunications networks.
• Proven experience leading field-based teams and subcontractors.
• Strong understanding of network construction methodologies: fibre, cable hauling, civil works, network audits.
• Working knowledge of HFC, FTTN, FTTC and FTTP networks.
• Interpret network designs, build packs and construction documentation.
• Experience managing contractor performance, KPIs and service delivery outcomes.
• Strong focus on safety, compliance and quality assurance.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise field technicians, civil crews and subcontractors.
• Conduct site assessments, network surveys, inspections and quality audits.
• Review construction designs and validate scopes of work before execution.
• Coordinate construction activities to meet customer commitments and delivery targets.
• Monitor contractor performance, defect resolution and compliance requirements.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with Safety, Quality and operational standards.
• Provide shoulder-to-shoulder coaching, mentoring and field support.
• Liaise with clients, authorities and stakeholders to support network operations.
• Participate in an on-call roster.
