Job summary

Service Stream is seeking an experienced Field Supervisor to join our Telecommunications team supporting the delivery of nbn services across Victoria. This hands-on leadership role focuses on field delivery, developing high-performing teams, and upholding safety, quality and operational excellence.

You will lead subcontractor crews, drive performance, and ensure safe, efficient and high-quality works in a high-profile contract.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising telecommunications, civil or field-based delivery crews.
• Strong knowledge of nbn, network construction, maintenance or service delivery environments.
• Demonstrated experience managing subcontractors and workforce performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and mentor field technicians and subcontractor crews.
• Coordinate daily field activities to achieve productivity, quality and KPI targets.
• Conduct field audits and performance reviews to drive continuous improvement.
• Support onboarding and development of new technicians.
• Manage escalations and resolve field-based operational challenges.
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and clients.
• Deliver toolbox talks and promote a proactive safety culture.
• Ensure compliance with HSE requirements, industry regulations and company standards.
• Champion Service Stream's Safety Leadership Model: WALK, TALK, LEAD, CARE.
• Drive operational efficiencies and best-practice field delivery outcomes.

The role is predominantly field-based and will see you leading subcontractor crews, driving performance, and ensuring successful delivery across a high-profile telecommunications contract.

About the Role

Field Supervisor - Telecommunications (NBN)

As a Field Supervisor, you'll play a critical role in managing field operations, overseeing subcontractor crews, and ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards. Working closely with technicians, stakeholders and operational leaders, you'll be the key point of contact for field delivery activities and issue resolution.

We're looking for a proven leader from the telecommunications, utilities or civil construction sector who understands what it takes to deliver successful field outcomes.

• Experience supervising telecommunications, civil or field-based delivery crews
• Strong knowledge of nbn, network construction, maintenance or service delivery environments
• Demonstrated experience managing subcontractors and workforce performance
• A safety-first mindset with a commitment to Zero Harm principles
• Experience conducting field audits, quality inspections and compliance checks
• Strong stakeholder management and customer-focused communication skills
• The ability to make sound decisions and solve problems in a dynamic field environment
• Experience coaching, mentoring and developing field teams

Highly Regarded

• Certificate III in Telecommunications or Civil Construction
• ACM Supervisor qualifications
• Experience working within telecommunications network environments
• Knowledge of field operations, service assurance, maintenance and construction activities
• Current driver's licence
