Job summary

BDO in Perth, Western Australia is expanding its Technology Risk and Cyber Security team. The Senior Consultant will assess cyber threats, design and test controls, and provide guidance on risk strategies to clients across diverse industries.

The role involves mentoring junior staff, delivering governance reviews, and collaborating with stakeholders from operations to senior management to strengthen security postures in a growing market.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering technology risk reviews, cyber security assessments, IT internal audits, control assurance engagements and governance reviews.
• Ability to engage effectively with business and technology stakeholders ranging from operational staff through to senior management.
• Certification or qualifications relevant to the role are preferred (CISA, PRINCE2, CISM, CRISC, CISSP, SABSA etc.).

Responsibilities

• Assess cyber and technology threats, vulnerabilities and risks using recognised frameworks.
• Design and test IT and security controls against regulatory requirements and frameworks.
• Identify and document mitigation strategies and prepare management reports.
• Coach and mentor junior staff and support their development.
