Job summary

Core Talent is seeking a Senior Consultant to join its Technology Risk & Cyber practice in Australia. You will lead IT risk and cybersecurity engagements, evaluate IT general controls, and advise on risk management frameworks across multiple industries.

You will mentor junior colleagues, support client proposals, and help strengthen cyber resilience while navigating evolving regulatory landscapes. The role combines technical depth with stakeholder management in a dynamic client-facing

Qualifications

• 2-4 years in IT audit, technology risk, or cybersecurity consulting
• Strong understanding of IT control frameworks and risk management principles
• Experience with ITGC testing, SOC reporting, or audit environments
• Knowledge of cyber security concepts: IAM, network security, incident response, data protection
• Certs such as CISA, CISSP, CRISC are desirable

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver IT risk and cybersecurity engagements, including IT audits and control assessments
• Evaluate ITGCs, application controls, and automated processes
• Identify cybersecurity risks, gaps, and remediations
• Advise on risk management frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, COBIT)
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to business development
