Job summary

XPT Software is seeking a senior Integration Platform Specialist to lead design, deployment and operation of enterprise integration solutions in Australia. You will own configuration, patching and upgrades of integration platforms and work with vendors to resolve production incidents.

You will apply DevOps practices to CI/CD pipelines, manage RESTful APIs and SOAP services, and ensure data integrity across SQL Server and PostgreSQL ecosystems while coordinating with stakeholders to meet KPIs.

Qualifications

• At least 7+ years of experience in managing integration platforms including installation, configuration, patching, upgrading and working with vendor to resolve production incidents.
• Proven experience in managing middleware products in production environments, with auditing, backup/recovery and data-safe migrations.

Job description

• At least 7+ years of working experience in managing integration platforms including installation, configuration, patching, upgrading and working with vendor to resolve production incidents.
• Proven experience in managing middleware products in a Production active-passive or active-active configuration. This includes regular auditing of config files, backup and recovery, tuning of alerting framework as required and migrating applications across sites without loss of data to ensure KPIs are met.
• Demonstrate extensive experience in the configuration and operation of commercial Enterprise Integration Platforms, with strong expertise in Kong API Gateway, Managed File Transfers, messaging middleware and webMethods product suites.
• Apply DevOps principles and practices, implementation and optimisation of CI/CD pipelines, supporting automated build, test and deployment processes.
• Communicate effectively in both written and verbal contexts, enabling clear articulation of complex technical concepts and influencing outcomes with stakeholders.
• Extensive experience in operating Business-to-Business and Enterprise Application Integration solutions covering design, development and operational support (minimum of 7 years).
• Demonstrate practical experience integrating solutions with relational database platforms, including Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL, supporting data access, persistence and optimisation.
• Experience managing the day-to-day operation, support, and continuous improvement of RESTful APIs and SOAP-based web services.
• Hands on experience using networking protocols like HTTPS, SMTP, LDAP and authentication protocols like OAuth, OIDC, JWT and TLS/SSL.
• Experience in system analysis, process design, technical documentation and ongoing production support activities.
• Proven experience responding to, coordinating, and resolving incidents to restore services within agreed SLAs.
