Job summary

FutureYou in Brisbane is seeking an IP/Technology Lawyer or Senior Associate to join its IP and Technology team, working on complex technology and outsourcing matters for Australian and international clients, across IP, privacy and AI.

You'll work closely with two Partners in a driven, dynamic team that actively uses AI in day-to-day work. If you’re curious about how AI is reshaping legal practice, you’ll get first-hand exposure to it.

Technology Lawyer / Senior Associate – IP & Technology | Brisbane | Permanent Full Time

A highly regarded, leading Brisbane practice is looking for an IP/ Technology Lawyer or Senior Associate to join its IP and Technology team.

Work at the front of the curve

You’ll work on complex technology and outsourcing projects for Australian and international clients, and advise on related issues across intellectual property, privacy and AI. The work spans the private and public sectors, and the matters are large and complex, with a team that wants to shape how Australian business, industry and consumers will work in the future.

You’ll work closely with two Partners in a driven, dynamic team that actively uses AI in how the work gets done day to day. If you’re curious about how AI is reshaping legal practice, you’d get first‑hand exposure to it.

What we’d love to see

• At least 4 years’ PQE in private practice
• A strong academic record
• Exceptional technical skills, especially contract drafting
• Excellent written and verbal communication, and the ability to turn complex ideas into clear, concise advice
• Creativity and a talent for unconventional problem-solving
• Attention to detail and the ability to draft incisive, commercially minded advice
