Job summary

VicRoads seeks a seasoned DevOps/Enterprise Environment Lead to own and govern large-scale environments across development, testing, staging, pre-production and production pipelines. You will drive automation, CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code to lift stability, delivery confidence and operational efficiency.

You will coordinate dependencies across applications, APIs, databases and cloud services, while leading continuous improvement initiatives for reliability, observability and cost

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing enterprise technology environments across complex application and infrastructure landscapes.
• Strong knowledge of Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, configuration management and environment governance.
• Experience managing environment stability, monitoring, observability, capacity planning and issue remediation.

What You'll Do

• Own and maintain the enterprise environment model across development, test, integration, staging, pre-production and production-aligned environments
• Define environment standards, lifecycle policies, governance controls and operating practices
• Manage environment demand, bookings, dependencies, constraints and competing priorities across projects and releases
• Ensure environments are stable, production-aligned and ready to support testing, release validation and operational readiness activities
• Drive environment automation, provisioning and standardisation using Azure DevOps, CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code practices
• Coordinate environment dependencies across applications, APIs, databases, cloud platforms, vendor solutions and integration services
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability, observability, self-service, delivery flow and cost optimisation
