Job summary
Graphite Energy Pty Ltd seeks an experienced Techno-Economic Engineer to assess industrial heat and energy systems. You will develop engineering-economic models for steam-generation, storage, and decarbonisation projects, interfacing with engineering, operations, finance and commercial teams.
The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related field, 5+ years in energy systems, and strong modelling skills for feasibility studies and lifecycle economics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemical Engineering or a closely related process/energy discipline.
- Minimum five years of relevant experience in energy systems or industrial energy projects.
- Experience with techno-economic and engineering-economic modelling.
- Understanding of thermodynamics and energy conversion in industrial settings.
Responsibilities
- Model industrial steam and process-heat requirements using energy balances.
- Develop and maintain techno-economic models integrating capex, opex and lifecycle economics.
- Evaluate operating profiles, sizing, charging strategies and configurations.
- Conduct feasibility, scenario, sensitivity and optimisation assessments across variables.
- Prepare analyses and communicate findings to stakeholders.
