Job summary

Cummins Inc. in Carole Park, QLD, Australia is seeking a Diesel Technician to join our high performing team. You will repair and rebuild heavy diesel engines and perform diagnostics in a service workshop under supervision.

The role includes maintaining a clean work area, completing required documentation, and adhering to safety policies. Relocation assistance may be offered for the right candidate, with on-site duties and day/afternoon rotations.

Qualifications

• Apprentice Trained Engine Technician with relevant certification.
• Experience in workshop or field service environments preferred.
• Knowledge of diesel engines and maintenance practices required.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and rebuilds on heavy diesel engines.
• Diagnose and repair engine faults and performance issues.
• Disassemble, inspect, and clean engines and components.
• Perform engine rebuilding and reconditioning.
• Maintain clean and organized work area and tools.
• Assist with documentation such as work completed records, time sheets, warranty claims and quality forms.
• Adhere to Health, Safety & Environmental policies and report issues to supervisor.

Job description

Job Summary:

We are looking for a talented Diesel Technician to join our high performing team in Carole Park, QLD.

In this role, you will complete repairs and rebuilds on engine products across all market segments (predominantly automotive) in a service workshop under supervision

You will make an impact in the following ways:

• Complete repairs and maintenance of heavy diesel products
• Diagnose and repair engines
• Disassemble, inspect, and clean engines and /or engine components
• Engine rebuilding and reconditioning
• Maintain work area and tools for cleanliness and proper operation
• Assist with completion required documentation, such as work completed documentation, time sheets, warranty claims and quality forms, via handwritten forms or business system input screens
• Ensure adherence to all relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to their supervisor

Additional Information:

• Full Time / 38 hours per week
• Rotational Shifts (Day/Afternoon)
• Overtime as required – Penalty rates paid for all work above 38 hours
• All your Safety equipment / PPE and uniforms are provided and laundered
• Domestic Relocation from across Australia may be offered for the right candidate
• Local Valid Drivers License

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

• Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Cert III) or equivalent
• Basic level of workshop or field service experience required
• Basic level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products
• Heavy Vehicle Experience preferred
• HR License preferred
