Job summary

Cummins Inc. in Carole Park, Queensland, is looking for an experienced Field Service Electrician – Power Generation. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics and commissioning on generators, switchgear and DMC systems, and support across Cummins equipment nationwide.

Role requires an electrical trade qualification, unrestricted A Grade licence, and a valid QLD Driver’s Licence; on-site with a flexible on-call roster, with a Monday–Friday pattern and on-site training opportunities.

Qualifications

• QLD electrical trade qualification and unrestricted A Grade licence.
• Field Service experience or similar desirable.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and solid knowledge of internal combustion engines.
• Proven fault-finding skills across complex control systems, with strong accuracy and attention to detail.
• Understanding of HV systems, Cummins PCC controls, industrial communication protocols and PLCs is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and diagnostics on Cummins and other manufacturers’ power generators.
• Install and commission new gensets, systems, transfer switches and Digital Master Controllers (DMC).
• Maintain and repair switchgear and battery systems.
• Complete service documentation and capture customer, equipment and technical information using required service tools.
• Handle and resolve technical escalations.
• Assist other Power Generation departments nationwide.

This is a Monday to Friday roster, with a flexible rotating on-call roster

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
