Inchcape Automotive Retail is seeking an Automotive Technician for our multi-brand Artarmon workshop. Join a leading global automotive retailer and distribution company, servicing a range of premium vehicles and brands in a collaborative team environment.

Key duties include servicing, diagnostics, inspections, and road tests, with a focus on high-quality workmanship and safety. Training opportunities with Peugeot, Subaru, Foton and Deepal are available.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs across a range of passenger and light commercial vehicles
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults using workshop diagnostic equipment and manufacturer systems
  • Carry out vehicle inspections and identify additional repair or maintenance requirements
  • Complete repairs in line with manufacturer standards, ensuring quality workmanship and safety compliance
  • Conduct road tests to verify repairs and ensure vehicles are performing at their best
  • Collaborate with Service Advisors and the wider workshop team to deliver exceptional customer outcomes
  • Maintain accurate workshop documentation and support a clean, safe, and efficient working environment
  • Stay up to date with manufacturer training and evolving vehicle technologies, including hybrid and electric vehicles where applicable

What You'll Do
  • Perform routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs across a range of passenger and light commercial vehicles

About You
  • Qualified Motor Mechanic with a relevant trade certification (Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical Technology or equivalent)
  • Proven experience as an Automotive Technician, Motor Mechanic, or Service Technician within a dealership or workshop environment
  • Experience working with European or Peugeot vehicles highly desirable
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and repair a broad range of vehicle systems
  • Experience performing servicing, maintenance, and repair work to a high standard
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills and a positive, customer-focused approach
  • A genuine commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship and attention to detail
  • Current and valid driver's licence
  • Additional manufacturer training or certifications beyond Bronze level highly regarded
