Job summary

Raytheon Australia is seeking skilled Technical Writers to translate complex operational information into clear technical manuals for the Australian Defence Force. You will author system, maintenance, and operator publications across electronic, electrical, mechanical, and related technologies, while supporting bid activities and data management.

The role requires XML authoring experience, collaboration via SharePoint, and the ability to obtain Australian Defence Security Clearance.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in a technical publications discipline, or authoring / technical publications development in a Defence or Engineering related field.
• Experience with authoring in an XML environment.
• Familiarity with collaboration platforms such as Microsoft SharePoint.
• Ability to obtain Australian Defence Security Clearance (eligibility via Defence portal).
• Experience with S1000D specification is preferred.

• Trade or technical background.


• Experience with authoring in an Extensible Markup Language (XML) environment.


• Prior experience in structured authoring and/or configuration management.


• Demonstrated experience with collaboration platforms such as Microsoft SharePoint.

You must be and Australian citizen and/or eligible to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance as needed.
