Job summary

Archer Daniels Midland Company in Guangzhou seeks an experienced food science/engineering professional to lead client-focused product development from concept to commercialization. You will supervise lab operations and drive formulation design and optimization with new ingredients and technologies.

You will also provide technical support to customers, coordinate with regional sales to meet targets, and train staff to execute the department plan.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in food science/tech/engineering.
• 10+ years in food & beverage or flavor/fragrance industry.
• Strong written and oral communication and teamwork skills.

• Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and data organization.

Responsibilities

Your Responsibilities

• Independently manage assigned projects by engaging with customers to deeply understand their needs, and collaborating closely with innovation platform partners to develop new product concepts, create food & beverage prototypes, and drive projects through to successful commercialization.
• Lead formulation design, optimization, and scale-up processes; proactively evaluate and apply novel ingredients and technologies to build strong product competitiveness.
• Provide troubleshooting support for both internal and external stakeholders; deliver technical support to key customers and collaborate with the regional sales team to achieve business targets.
• Take ownership of technical communication and cross-functional alignment with relevant departments and colleagues throughout project execution.
• Oversee the daily management and operation of the Guangzhou laboratory, ensuring full compliance with company safety standards and operational requirements.
• Support department manager to conduct new staff skills training and complete the department training plan;

Your Profile

• Food science/technology/engineering, bachelor degree /master degree
• Above 10 years working experience in food & beverage industry, flavor & fragrance company (flavor house)
• Good written and oral communication skills and good interpersonal /team work skills
• Highly motivated/passion and positive to get work done.
• Knowledgeable in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and related programs for organizing data and summarizing test results
