SAF-HOLLAND (Aust.) Pty. Ltd is seeking a Technical Support specialist in Melton, Australia. This full-time role provides technical advice, training and product assistance to OEMs, fleets, and service centres, with responsibilities from issue diagnosis to warranty coordination.

You will travel to sites as needed and support internal teams with product testing and documentation. You will work under the Product, Engineering and Technical Manager, delivering hands-on training, handling quality

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in heavy automotive or trailer building.
• Experience as a heavy vehicle mechanic with product knowledge.
• Transport industry experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical and technical aptitude.
• Experience in training or demonstrating service and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate and timely technical support to customers, service centres and internal teams via phone, email and in person.
• Attend customer sites to diagnose product issues and prepare detailed reports.
• Deliver product, installation and service training to OEMs, fleets, service centres and internal staff across Australia and maintain training materials.
• Assist with internal/external product testing and inspections.
• Assist with the warranty lifecycle, including returns, claims entry, supplier liaison, and maintaining records and documentation.
• Support customers with warranty portal use and booking repairs

We are seeking an experienced and customer‑focused Technical Support specialist to provide high‑quality technical advice, training and product assistance to OEMs, transport fleets, service centres and internal teams throughout Australia. Reporting to the Product, Engineering and Technical Manager, you will provide a point of contact for technical enquiries relating to SAF‑HOLLAND’s market‑leading suspension and axle systems. This hands‑on, varied role includes technical support, product quality checks, technical/product training delivery, warranty coordination and product development involvement. You will be provided with a fully maintained company vehicle in this role.

What You’ll Do

• Provide accurate and timely technical support to customers, service centres and internal teams via phone, email and in person
• Attend customer sites to diagnose product issues and prepare detailed reports
• Deliver product, installation and service training to OEMs, fleets, service centres and internal staff (throughout Australia) and maintain training materials
• Assist with internal/external product testing and inspections
• Assist with the warranty lifecycle, including returns, claims entry, supplier liaison, and maintaining records and documentation
• Support customers with warranty portal use and booking repairs
• Support first‑service request administration and general office tasks

What You Bring

• Trade qualified in heavy automotive or trailer building
• Experience as a heavy vehicle mechanic/heavy vehicle product knowledge
• Transport industry experience (preferred)
• Strong mechanical and technical aptitude
• Computer literate with MS Office (particularly Excel), experience with CRM and ERP systems (we use Pronto – training will be provided)
• Experience in training or demonstrating service and maintenance of heavy vehicle components

This is a full-time role based at our Melton facility.
