Job summary

Charter Hall is seeking a Technical Services Manager to bridge technical complexity with decision making across Asset Management, Property, Capital Works, Operations, ESG and Funds Management. You will translate building services, utilities and lifecycle data into practical insights that drive smarter decisions and long-term value for customers, investors and communities.

You’ll lead energy efficiency initiatives, NABERS ratings and sustainability programs while supporting CapEx and OpEx

Qualifications

• Detailed understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, controls, metering and analytics systems in commercial office buildings.
• Experience in building services, building optimisation, NABERS and Green Building Principles.

Responsibilities

• Turn technical detail into better business decisions by translating data into clear, practical advice for cross-functional teams.
• Support building optimisation, energy efficiency, commissioning, tuning and continuous improvement across assets.
• Contribute to utility management, environmental certification schemes and ESG-related performance outcomes.
• Provide technical analysis, lifecycle planning inputs and business case support for CapEx, OpEx, sustainability and building services projects.
• Connect internal teams and external partners to improve reporting and deliver practical outcomes across the portfolio.

How you’ll make an impact:

• Turn technical detail into better business decisions by translating building services, utilities, performance data and lifecycle insights into clear, practical advice for Asset Management, Property, Capital Works, Operations, ESG and Funds Management teams.

• Help lift the performance of Charter Hall’s Office portfolio by supporting building optimisation, energy efficiency, commissioning, tuning and continuous improvement initiatives across assets.

• Play a hands-on role in sustainability and operational efficiency by contributing to utility management, embedded networks, NABERS ratings, environmental certificate schemes and ESG-related performance outcomes.

• Support smarter investment in our assets by providing technical analysis, lifecycle planning inputs and business case support for CapEx, OpEx, sustainability and building services projects.

• Connect internal teams and external partners across consultants, service providers, utility partners and asset teams to improve reporting, streamline processes and deliver practical outcomes across the portfolio.

What you’ll bring to the team

• Detailed understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, controls, metering and analytics systems in commercial office buildings

• Experience supporting operational efficiency, asset performance, utilities, embedded networks or environmental management practice

• Ability to clearly communicate technical matters to non-technical people

• Knowledge of legislation, standards and operational requirements relating to energy, environment, metering, embedded networks and building services

• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders

• Ability to read and interpret technical information and analytical data
