Overview

Our client is a leading food-based chemical solutions company, partnering with Australia’s top food manufacturers to deliver innovative products and exceptional service. With continued growth across our Food Division, we are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Technical Sales Representative to join our team in Sydney. This is an autonomous role reporting directly to the Division Manager, with a strong focus on business development while maintaining and servicing existing customers.

Responsibilities
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with existing customers while identifying and developing new business opportunities.
  • Provide exceptional service by understanding customer needs and offering tailored solutions that add value.
  • Actively identify, pursue, and partner with new customers to expand market presence.
  • Prepare and negotiate tender documentation, contracts, and proposals.
  • Leverage Salesforce to manage pipeline activity and customer information.
  • Support customers with technical knowledge, food safety audits, and compliance with industry standards.
Key Requirements
  • Proven experience in sales, business development, or account management within the industrial chemical, food, or related industries.
  • Strong technical knowledge with a hands-on approach in the field.
  • Excellent listening skills with the ability to understand and meet customer needs.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
  • Experience in preparing and negotiating tender documents.
  • Solid knowledge of food safety requirements, including FSANZ standards and cleanout audits.
  • Background in food manufacturing, quality assurance, agriculture, or engineering.
  • The ability to manage priorities, work autonomously, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
