Job summary

Adbri is seeking a Technical Manager to lead technical and quality performance across concrete and quarry operations in South Australia and the Northern Territory. Based at Thebarton, you will report to the General Manager SA&NT and manage ISO 9001 compliance and the Adbri Quality System.

You will own the quality risk profile, review specifications, analyse data, optimise mixes, and support customers while balancing cost control.

Qualifications

Experience in a technical or quality role in construction materials.
People management experience.
Strong analytical skills to translate data into clear management information.
Commercial awareness, including financial and contractual implications of product decisions.
Experience working with customers and suppliers to deliver outcomes.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Collaborative, innovative approach.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

Champion safety and sustainability within the team and wider business.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives, including optimising mix costs.
Oversee a NATA-accredited concrete and aggregate laboratory.
Control product quality, and investigate customer complaints and quality issues through to resolution.
Identify and manage the technical risks the business is exposed to.
Review project specifications to ensure compliant product is supplied.
Ensure products meet specifications and relevant standards.
Provide technical support, training and advice to internal teams and customers.
Oversee the development of concrete mixes and the quarry product range.
Maintain ISO 9001 compliance for the manufacture of concrete and quarry products.
