Job summary

Department of Employment and Workplace Relations (DEWR) in Canberra is seeking an EL1 Technical Project Manager to lead delivery of complex technology projects across ETD. You will coordinate between business stakeholders and delivery teams, ensuring on-time, on-budget outcomes across multiple technical disciplines.

The role requires strong project management credentials and technical understanding to identify impacts from scope changes and drive practical options to senior decision-makers.

Qualifications

• Essential project-management certifications such as PRINCE2, MSP, PMP, Agile Project Management or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate complex ICT projects from initiation through delivery, transition and closure, ensuring outcomes are delivered within scope, budget, timeframes and quality expectations.
• Identify, map and actively manage dependencies across infrastructure, cloud, platforms, networks, cyber security, applications, architecture, service management and operational teams.
• Develop and maintain integrated project plans, schedules, budgets, forecasts, risk and issue registers, dependency logs and decision records.
• Provide accurate, timely and evidence-based advice on project progress, expenditure, risks, dependencies and decisions to senior stakeholders.
