Job description

AutoGrab is on a mission to reshape the automotive industry with data-driven, intelligent technology. Backed by leading investors and trusted by major OEMs, marketplaces, and dealer groups, we’re building the infrastructure powering the future of vehicle trading.

We’ve been recognised in the AFR Fast Starters, LinkedIn's top 25 Start ups and Deloitte Tech Fast 50 lists, reflecting our rapid growth, strong market demand, and relentless pursuit of innovation.

As such, we're looking for a technically strong, customer-focused problem solver to help shape the next generation of our API-driven automotive intelligence products. If you love working across engineering, product, and customer teams—and you enjoy building things, explaining things, and fixing things—this is the role for you.

What you’ll be doing
  • Partner with Engineering & Product to shape the roadmap of our API products - bringing customer feedback, technical insight, and market signals into the planning process.
  • Work directly with customers on solution design, architecture support, and hands‑on integration guidance.
  • Lead pre‑sales technical conversations, helping prospects understand integration options, API capabilities, and proposed solutions.
  • Run technical workshops or training sessions to help customers and partners get the most out of Autograb’s platform.
  • Troubleshoot escalated technical support issues, acting as the long‑term technical owner for high‑value customers.
  • Create integration documentation, API guides, OpenAPI/Swagger definitions, and proofs of concept to support fast and reliable onboarding.
  • Build and maintain relationships with new and existing customers, helping them discover and adopt additional Autograb products.
  • Inform and maintain commercial rate cards, and support commercial optimisation across our product suite.
Who you are
  • You’re a strong communicator who can explain technical concepts simply.
  • You enjoy diving into APIs, data flows, and debugging integration issues.
  • You’re equally comfortable in pre‑sales conversations and post‑sales technical ownership.
  • You love working cross‑functionally, you sit comfortably between product, engineering, sales, and customer teams.
  • You’re customer‑obsessed and see long‑term relationships as part of your craft.
  • You enjoy both hands‑on technical work and business‑focused conversations.
  • Solid experience with REST APIs, Postman, JSON, authentication flows, and API debugging.
  • Experience supporting or implementing system integrations (CRM, DMS, inventory, advertising platforms, analytics tools, etc.).
  • Experience with OpenAPI/Swagger for documenting API schemas and helping customers integrate.
  • Ability to facilitate workshops, training sessions, or solution‑design discussions with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Strong pre‑sales skills, including scoping, requirements gathering, and solution pitching.
  • Ability to create clear technical documentation, diagrams, and POCs.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills with a structured debugging mindset.
  • Experience in customer‑facing technical roles (solutions engineering, sales engineering, TAM, integration engineering, etc.).
  • Competency with basic SQL or data‑querying tools (recommended).
  • Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and event‑driven patterns like webhooks.
  • Awareness of data privacy, security best practices, and safe data‑handling within integrations.
  • Nice‑to‑have: experience in automotive, marketplaces, SaaS, or B2B API products.
What You’ll Get
  • Direct influence over the roadmap for AutoGrab’s API products.
  • A varied and engaging role spanning technical delivery, product strategy, documentation, workshops, and customer engagement.
  • A fast‑paced environment where your work has a visible, meaningful impact on both customers and internal teams.
  • Clear opportunities to grow into product, engineering, or commercial leadership pathways as the business scales.
Why Join AutoGrab?
  • Be part of a high‑growth, purpose‑driven technology company shaping the future of automotive and finance.
  • Work alongside a supportive, highly experienced leadership team.
  • Thrive in a dynamic, collaborative culture that genuinely invests in your development.
  • Join a global business with offices across Australia, the UK, and Asia, and ambitious international expansion ahead.
