Job summary

TalentFix is seeking a senior electrical/O&M leader to oversee site operations across multiple solar and battery storage assets in Queensland. You will work with site leaders to improve performance, resolve faults, and optimize maintenance strategies while staying close to the technical detail.

You’ll troubleshoot HV/MV issues, investigate root causes, mentor field teams, and coordinate with OEMs, suppliers and contractors.

Qualifications

• Electrical trade or electrical engineering background required.
• Experience with utility-scale solar, BESS or similar power infrastructure.
• Comfort with HV/MV equipment and real-world O&M experience.
• Exposure to leadership or management roles is beneficial.

Job description

You’ve probably already proved you can run a site.

You know what good O&M looks like. You’re technically strong, comfortable around HV systems, fault finding and plant performance, and you’re the person people turn to when something difficult needs sorting properly.

Now you’re ready for more than one asset.

This role is a step into broader technical leadership across multiple utility‑scale solar and battery sites. You’ll still be close to the technical detail, but your influence will stretch much further across the operation.

You’ll work with site leaders and technical teams to improve how assets perform, how faults are resolved and how maintenance is delivered. When something goes wrong, you’ll help get to the root cause. When performance slips, you’ll help understand why. And when site teams, contractors or equipment suppliers need direction, you’ll be one of the people helping drive the solution.

About you

• You’ll likely have come through either an electrical trade or electrical engineering pathway and built strong experience in utility‑scale solar, BESS or similar power infrastructure.
• You’ll be comfortable with HV and MV equipment and have enough O&M experience to understand how operating assets behave in the real world, not just how they were designed to perform.
• You may currently be working as a Plant Manager, O&M Manager, Technical Manager, Electrical Manager, Senior Electrical Engineer or similar.
• You’ll bring a strong electrical background, solid HV/MV capability, meaningful solar and/or BESS O&M experience, management exposure and a good understanding of SCADA.
