Job summary

NetComm Wireless Pty Ltd. seeks a Technical Lead to own the design and development of new telecom devices from concept to production.

You will steer the technical direction, collaborate with Hardware, Software, Product Management, and Project Management teams, and ensure robust delivery and cost competitiveness. Reporting to the Engineering Director, you will drive requirements capture, architecture, validation, and release, while guiding the team through increasing scale and complexity.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in product development across concept to production.
• Strong technical judgement and ability to lead from architecture to validation.
• Able to balance cost, performance and complexity in design decisions.

Responsibilities

• Own the design and development of products through full development life cycle.
• Capture requirements and specifications with cross-functional teams and ensure compliance.
• Lead product architecture and weigh design options for cost and performance.
• Plan timelines with project management and manage dependencies.
• Contribute to product roadmaps and stay current with industry trends.
• Clear roadblocks and communicate progress to stakeholders.
• Energize relationships with customers and suppliers, providing technical expertise.
• Report progress and outcomes to internal stakeholders and leadership.
