Job summary

DroneShield is seeking a Technical Graphic Designer to join the team in Sydney, NSW. Reporting to the Document & Graphics Lead, this role will be responsible for developing and maintaining customer-facing documentation and presentation materials across DroneShield's product portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or related field.
• 3+ years in graphic/technical or information design, preferably in tech/defence.
• Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
• Experience creating long-form technical documentation like user manuals.
• Understanding of document layout and information design principles.
• Ability to create diagrams, technical illustrations and infographics.
• Clear communication to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Familiarity with Jira/Confluence or similar ticket systems.
• Print and digital artwork preparation experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and format customer-facing collateral, including manuals, quick start guides, release notes, presentations and brochures.
• Translate complex concepts into diagrams, infographics and visual assets.
• Create and maintain documentation templates and layouts supporting brand standards.
• Structure information to improve readability and comprehension.
• Collaborate with technical writers, engineers, PMs and SMEs to communicate product information.
• Maintain and update documentation and visual assets to align with product releases.
• Manage multiple projects in an agile environment with high quality and attention to detail.
• Deliver projects from concept through to final production with stakeholder feedback.
