Aryon Pty Ltd is seeking a Technical Consultant in Modern Work & Azure to design, deliver and own secure Microsoft 365, Azure and related cloud infrastructure projects for education, government and mid-market clients across South East Queensland. You will work from discovery through to handover, blending on-site delivery with hybrid work arrangements.

• 3+ years in MSP/systems integrator/IT professional services delivering client projects.
• Hands-on experience administering Microsoft 365 workloads (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams) and Entra ID, including Conditional Access.
• Azure core infrastructure experience: VNet, IaaS/PaaS workloads, governance design.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Office 365, Defender for Cloud Apps, and device compliance.
• Clear written and verbal communication, able to explain technical detail to engineers and business stakeholders.
• Eligible for a national police check; Queensland Working with Children Check if required; citizenship or permanent residency may be required for certain government work.

The Role

As a Technical Consultant in our Professional Services team, you will take ownership of modern workplace, security, and Azure infrastructure projects from discovery and design through to implementation and handover across mid-market and public-sector environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Architecture and Design: Contribute to customer discovery workshops and translate business requirements into Microsoft 365 tenant, identity, security, and Azure landing zone designs.
• Project Delivery: Lead deployment and migration projects spanning Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams), Entra ID, Intune, and Azure IaaS/PaaS workloads.
• Security & Compliance: Design and implement security and compliance controls using Microsoft Defender, Purview, and Conditional Access, aligned to Essential Eight and client risk posture.
• Documentation: Produce High-Level Designs (HLD), Low-Level Designs (LLD), and As-Built documentation to a consistently high standard.
• Client Advisory: Act as the trusted technical point of contact on-site for clients, translating deep technical detail into clear business communication for executive stakeholders.
• Mentoring: Mentor junior engineers within our structured development framework and contribute to Aryon’s internal delivery standards and design templates.

About You

You are an experienced Microsoft-stack engineer ready to take greater ownership of complex delivery and expand into client-facing advisory work. You may be coming from an internal IT team, an MSP, a systems integrator, or a larger consulting environment, and you are looking for broader project exposure and a clearer path for technical growth.

Essential Criteria

• Consulting Experience: 3+ years' experience within an MSP, systems integrator, or IT professional services environment, with a track record of scoping, delivering, and documenting client projects.
• Modern Work: Hands-on experience administering and migrating Microsoft 365 workloads (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams) and identity via Entra ID, including Conditional Access and hybrid identity.
• Azure Infrastructure: Practical experience with Azure core infrastructure: virtual networking, IaaS/PaaS workloads, subscription and governance design (management groups, policy, cost management).
• Security: Working knowledge of Microsoft security tooling, including Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Office 365, Defender for Cloud Apps, and Intune-managed device compliance.
• Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to explain technical detail to an engineering audience and business value to a non-technical one.
• Screening and Clearances: Ability to obtain and maintain a national police check and, where required for education-sector work, a Queensland Working with Children Check (Blue Card). Australian citizenship or permanent residency may be required for particular government engagements.

Desirable Attributes

• Current Microsoft certification such as MS-102 (Microsoft 365 Administrator), SC-300 (Identity and Access Administrator), SC-200 (Security Operations Analyst), AZ-104 (Azure Administrator), or AZ-500 (Azure Security Engineer).
• Experience with Microsoft Purview for data governance, information protection, or compliance (SC-400).
• Experience designing Azure landing zones using the Cloud Adoption Framework, or Infrastructure as Code (Bicep/Terraform).
• Experience delivering infrastructure projects within the Australian education or government sectors.
