Job summary

Advance Vision Technology is seeking a Technical Consultant to bridge pre-sales, solution design and delivery for mid-market clients. You will provide technical consulting, architecture and delivery assurance to ensure scalable, fit-for-purpose solutions centered on Microsoft technologies.

The role covers Microsoft 365, Intune, Entra ID, Defender, Purview, Teams, SharePoint Online and Exchange Online, with responsibility for discovery, designs, proposals and documentation. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Over 7 years of experience in technical consulting, solution design and advisory roles.
• Ability to design and deliver complex infrastructure and systems solutions in client-facing engagements.
• Excellent presentation and documentation skills, translating complex concepts to stakeholders.
• End-to-end technical consulting across pre-sales, project delivery and operations.
• Experience with Modern Workplace, Security and Cloud solutions from Microsoft.

About the role:

As a Technical Consultant, you will bridge pre-sales, solution design, and delivery functions, providing technical consulting, solution architecture, and delivery assurance to ensure solutions are fit-for-purpose, scalable, and aligned to client requirements.

The role combines deep technical expertise with client-facing advisory, supporting the design, delivery and optimisation of infrastructure and technology solutions for mid-market clients.You will play a key role in owning technical outcomes, supporting project delivery, and achieving strong billable utilisation and commercial performance aligned to business objectives.

This position has a primary focus on Microsoft technologies and services, supporting customer engagement, solution delivery and managed services across Microsoft’s Modern Workplace, Security and Cloud platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality, billable technical consulting engagements with a strong end-customer focus;
• Deliver consulting, project and advisory services across Microsoft technologies, including Microsoft 365, Intune, Entra ID, Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Purview, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online and Exchange Online;
• Conduct discovery and provide technical advice and recommendations, translating business and technical requirements into fit-for-purpose solutions;
• Produce solution architectures, technical designs, proposals, and supporting documentation for sales and delivery opportunities;
• Support new business opportunities through pre-sales technical consulting, solution design, and client advisory;
• Deliver consulting and advisory services in line with billable utilisation targets, delivery timelines, and commercial performance expectations;
• Support delivery teams to ensure successful implementation of designed solutions, providing technical guidance, assurance, and escalation support where required;
• Apply structured methodologies to guide clients through solution design, resource planning, budget management, and risk mitigation;
• Provide technical mentoring, coaching and knowledge transfer to engineers and project resources;
• Coordinate technical escalations and engagement with vendors where required;
• Contribute to the development and adoption of new technologies and solution offerings, including input into solution standards and best practices;
• Complete technical training and industry certifications as required;
• Documentation and reporting as required;
• Travel as required.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• 7+ years’ experience in technical consulting, solution design, and advisory roles (MSP/IT services environment preferred);
• Proven ability to design and deliver complex infrastructure and systems solutions in client-facing and consulting-led engagements;
• Excellent presentation and documentation skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts to stakeholders;
• Ability to provide end-to-end technical consulting, solution design and client advisory services across pre-sales, project delivery and operational engagements;
• Demonstrated ability to operate as a trusted technical advisor, balancing technical outcomes, customer requirements and commercial objectives;
• Demonstrated experience designing, implementing and supporting Microsoft Modern Workplace, Security and Cloud solutions, including Microsoft 365, Intune, Entra ID, Defender, Teams, SharePoint Online and Exchange Online;
• Experience delivering Microsoft-focused projects, migrations, security improvements and technical transformation initiatives within client environments;
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related ICT discipline (or equivalent industry experience);
• Relevant Microsoft certifications across Microsoft 365, Security, Azure technologies highly regarded.

• Automation, troubleshooting and problem resolution, including advanced root cause analysis, PowerShell scripting and operational optimisation;
• Technical governance, solution assurance and delivery management, including technical documentation, solution design, testing, change implementation and ITIL-aligned service management processes.
