Job summary

A technology recruitment agency in the City of Melbourne seeks an experienced Technical Business Analyst for a 12-month contract. You will work with stakeholders to document business requirements and support cloud migration and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate has over 5 years of experience in infrastructure systems and cloud technologies like AWS and Azure. Excellent Excel and documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience as a Technical or Infrastructure Business Analyst.
• Strong understanding of infrastructure systems, security frameworks, and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure).

Overview

Our client is looking for an experienced Technical Business Analyst with background in Infrastructure, Security, and AWS Cloud. This is initial a 12-month contract with the view to extend and 3 years of work within the pipeline.

Responsibilities

• Work with infrastructure, network, cloud, and security teams to capture and document business and technical requirements.
• Analyse and interpret large data sets to support decision-making and identify risks or optimisation opportunities.
• Support delivery of projects related to cloud migration (AWS/Azure), network security, and infrastructure modernisation.
• Prepare reports, dashboards, and detailed documentation using Excel and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, and ServiceNow.
• Prepare detailed reporting and dashboards using Excel and other analytical tools.
• Provide documentation and analysis to strengthen the organisation’s security posture, data integrity, and cloud readiness.

Experience & Skills

• 5+ years’ experience as a Technical or Infrastructure Business Analyst.
• Strong understanding of infrastructure systems, security frameworks, and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure).
• Advanced Excel and data analysis capability.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and documentation skills.
• Familiarity with compliance and risk frameworks.
