Mutual Trust in Melbourne is seeking a curious, highly structured Technical Business Analyst to join our Technology Solutions & Data team. This hands-on role sits between business and technology, translating needs into clear requirements that can be designed, built and implemented successfully.

You’ll work with experienced analysts and technology professionals across the firm, building capability in business analysis, systems design, process improvement and technology delivery.

Qualifications

• Problem-solving and critical-thinking skills are required.
• Structured and analytical approach is essential.
• Interest in technology, systems and how things work.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and changing priorities.
• Background in IT, Information Systems, Engineering or related discipline is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Work with stakeholders to understand business problems, processes and requirements.
• Map current and future-state processes and identify changes.
• Translate business needs into clear requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Assess technology solutions and contribute to design and business cases.
• Understand how proposed systems will work and their impact on teams and processes.
• Design test scenarios and test cases for new systems and changes.
• Coordinate and support user acceptance testing.
• Work with implementation teams to ensure delivery meets business needs.
• Identify opportunities to improve existing systems and processes.
• Utilize AI-enabled tools to support analysis, documentation and delivery.
