Job summary

Innovent is seeking an experienced Technical Architect in Sydney to guide architectural decisions and translate requirements into design for scalable software solutions. You will shape the technical vision, set coding standards, and steer the project from planning through delivery.

You should have strong UML modeling skills, hands-on development background in C#/Java, and experience coordinating offshore or distributed teams. The role emphasizes quality, security, and strategic leadership.

Qualifications

• Proven project experience as a technical architect.
• Experience in software development and coding in various languages (C#, .NET, Java).
• Excellent knowledge of software and application design and architecture.
• Excellent knowledge of UML and other modeling methods.
• Project experience with Azure Web Apps, API Apps, Active Directory B2C, Service Bus, Notification Hubs, Blob Storage, .Net core, Asp.Net Web API, SQL Server Azure.
• Understanding of software quality assurance principles.
• A technical mindset with great attention to detail.
• High quality organizational and leadership skills.
• Outstanding communication and presentation abilities.
• Experience working with offshore or distributed teams.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with Product Managers & Project Stakeholders to determine functional and nonfunctional requirements for the software product.
• Use tools and methodologies to create representations for functions and user interface of desired product.
• Develop high-level product specifications with attention to system integration and feasibility.
• Define all aspects of development from appropriate technology and workflow to coding standards.
• Strategic decision making through to project planning.
• Communicate successfully all concepts and guidelines to the development team.
• Oversee progress of development team to ensure consistency with agreed design.
• Provide technical guidance and coaching to developers and engineers.
• Ensure software meets all requirements of quality, security, modifiability, extensibility etc.
• Hold development team accountable to agreed time and task goals and deliverables.
• Approve of final product before release.
