Job summary

Suncorp in Melbourne is seeking a Procurement and Vendor Management professional to support Insurance Technology across IT services including cloud, SaaS, infrastructure and cyber security. You will manage complex suppliers and contracts in a hyperscale environment.

The role requires autonomous work, business acumen and ability to translate technical needs into practical commercial outcomes, with development toward more senior positions over time.

Qualifications

• Five+ years in technology procurement, vendor management or related commercial role.
• Experience procuring SaaS solutions, large software contracts, renewals and tenders.
• Knowledge of software licensing, cloud services and IT infrastructure.
• Experience with major technology providers such as Microsoft, IBM, Oracle or ServiceNow.
• Ability to translate complex requirements into clear commercial decisions.

Responsibilities

• Manage strategic technology vendors, contracts, service levels and supplier improvement plans.
• Develop category plans, sourcing strategies and negotiation approaches for software, cloud and infrastructure services.
• Lead SaaS renewals and tenders balancing commercial value, service requirements and risk.
• Facilitate supplier governance reviews and performance meetings with technical stakeholders and senior leaders.
• Interpret contract terms, resolve escalated disputes and address supplier performance or governance issues.
• Build productive relationships across Technology, Procurement, Legal, Risk and external vendor teams.
