Job summary

News Corp Australia Sydney, AUS, is seeking a Procurement Manager – Technology for a 12‑month maximum‑term contract in our Surry Hills office. You will lead strategic sourcing across technology, digital, platform and data categories, negotiating high‑quality contracts and guiding the lifecycle from market engagement to award.

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years in strategic sourcing or contract management within a complex corporate environment.
• Experience partnering with technical teams to translate IT, platform, and digital requirements into robust commercial documents.
• Strong background in contract review, drafting and supplier dispute management in close alignment with Legal counsel.
• Highly commercial, data‑driven, using market insights to challenge the status quo and unlock value.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end procurement lifecycle across technology categories, including strategy, market engagement, tendering, supplier evaluation and contract execution.
• Draft, structure and negotiate high-quality commercial contracts for low- to high-risk engagements.
• Prepare and present clear, data-backed award recommendations to executive leadership.
• Partner with Commercial Finance to ensure deals align with operating budgets.
• Drive initiatives to achieve annual cost-optimisation targets without impacting performance.
• Build and manage strategic supplier relationships to secure market-competitive rates and value.
