Job summary

Gadens is seeking a Lawyer with 2-4 years’ PQE to join our Technology, Media and Intellectual Property team in Canberra. You will support Partner Mitchell Wright and work with partners nationally on privacy, data protection, and technology-related advice.

You will analyze matters across both public and private sectors, draft advice, and help with contracts and client management, with strong mentoring and development opportunities in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years' post-admission experience across privacy, information law, confidentiality and government data sharing.
• Experience or interest in copyright licences and AI/technology matters.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Provide advisory support on privacy compliance and regulatory obligations.
• Draft advice, opinions and transactional documents for technology, data, and IP matters.
• Review and negotiate technology and data-related contracts with clients and partners.
• Assist in client management and collaboration with partners and senior lawyers.
