Job summary

Churches of Christ Queensland is seeking dedicated Environmental Service Workers to join Fair Haven Aged Care in Hervey Bay, Urraween. You will support the kitchen team with food prep and service, maintain clean dining spaces, and help ensure a safe, hygienic environment within and around the kitchen.

This casual opportunity spans day, afternoon, and night shifts, with benefits including 5 weeks annual leave and salary packaging options. We value integrity, compassion, excellence and courage.

Qualifications

• Reliable, positive and team-orientated.
• Experience in cleaning, laundry, hospitality or kitchen hand roles (aged care desirable).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work across day, afternoon and night shifts.
• Hold valid Australian work rights.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning resident rooms and communal areas.
• Laundry duties (washing, drying, folding and distribution).
• Assisting in the kitchen with meal preparation and service.
• Supporting dining room setup and pack down.
• Following infection control and safety procedures.
• Work closely with the team to keep things running smoothly.
