Job summary

Woolworths Supermarkets is seeking a hands-on store leader to oversee Proactive Services across multiple stores. You’ll coach a team responsible for cleaning, trolley collection and waste, while rostering and ensuring daily operations run smoothly.

From rosters to budgeting and hands-on tasks, you’ll work with Store Leadership to tackle challenges and deliver excellent store environments for customers and colleagues.

Qualifications

  • Experience leading teams in retail or service environments.
  • Ability to create rosters and manage attendance.
  • Track record of delivering clean, safe store environments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team within cleaning, trolley collection and waste support.
  • Create a roster for your team to ensure daily tasks and operations are covered.
  • Work with Store Leadership teams to identify challenges, areas of opportunity and priorities.
  • Complete time and attendance activities for your team (hours, absences, policy).
  • Order consumables for stores and manage within a budget.
  • Provide hands-on contribution by performing core tasks (cleaning, trolley collection, waste management).

Be a hands-on leader, working across different stores and motivating your team to do their best workPartner with various store teams to provide outstanding serviceFull-time salaried role best suited to an individual with flexible availability to work across early mornings, days, late nights, and weekendsAbout the roleHere at Woolies, we have a team called Proactive Services that ensures trolleys are available to use and that our stores are in pristine condition - this enables our Customers (and your colleagues) to experience an environment that is hygienically clean to work and shop in. You'll work side-by-side with your team whilst bringing a little good to everyone, every day.What you'll doLead, coach, and develop a team within cleaning, trolley collection and waste supportCreate a roster for your team to ensure that all daily tasks and operations are coveredWork with the Store Leadership teams to identify challenges, areas of opportunity and upcoming prioritiesComplete time and attendance activities for your team members, such as tracking hours, managing absences, and ensuring compliance with company policyOrder all consumables for your stores, such as cleaning supplies, and maintain these within a budgetProvide hands-on contribution by performing core operational tasks alongside the team, providing direct support to ensure the smooth running of day-to-day activities, including cleaning, trolley collection and waste managementWhat you'll bringAn ambitious mindset, a love of retail, and a passion for people to a promising role with room to grow your careerFlexibility to work in different environments such as the shop floor, fridges, freezers and carparksA good eye for cleanliness and small detailsPhysical fitness is essential for this role, as it involves physically demanding tasksThe ability to work with other Department Managers and the Store Leadership Team to plan and coordinate routines and timeframesYou need to be organised to make sure your team has all the equipment and supplies they need to work safely and efficientlyComfortable working with a regulated framework (Food Safety, industrial regulations, code of conducts etc)A valid full Australian drivers licence (Green P’s or full licence) is essential as you may collect trolleys using our vehiclesNote: Woolworths Group is an inclusive, team-first company committed to breaking down institutional barriers that keep people from reaching their potential.
