Job summary

YMCA Victoria in Yarrawonga area is seeking a Café Team Leader for a part-time role delivering over-the-counter food and beverage service and leading a small team. You will ensure a welcoming customer experience while maintaining stock and daily operations with strong attention to detail.

You will recruit, train and supervise staff, plus provide administrative support for centre operations. Face-to-face service, seasonal rostering and a focus on safety are required.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated admin skills and attention to detail.
• Experience leading a small team in a service environment.
• Experience as duty manager or lifeguard is advantageous.

About the role

As the Café Team Leader, you will be responsible for recruiting, training, and supporting a small core team to deliver a diverse over the counter food and beverage service. You will create a positive, welcoming and supportive workplace, while delivering exceptional customer experiences.You will maintain high service standards, oversee the daily operations and administration, including stock management and ordering, and work to ensure the financial success and ongoing viability of the cafe.

In addition, you will work very closely with the centre leadership team providing administrative support for the whole of centre operations, programming, business development and community activities.

This is a part-time position and the hourly rate is up to $33.87 + Super + Y Benefits

About You

To be successful in this role you will have strong admin skills, show attention to detail, and have experience leading a small team. You will have experience working as a duty manager or lifeguard and able to commit to a regular pattern of work, whilst being able to include additional rostered hours during seasonal peak times.
