Job summary

Green by Nature is seeking a Team Leader to guide a small mowing and brushcutting crew. The role combines horticultural expertise with strong organisational and leadership abilities to meet client standards and exceed them.

It is a full‑time position with 38 hours per week, offering a competitive salary and superannuation in Victoria. You will lead daily maintenance tasks, mentor staff, and ensure safety practices while maintaining high-quality green spaces for clients in the northern suburbs.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Horticulture or Parks & Gardens required/preferred.
• Working with Children Check and Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
• Valid Drivers' license.
• Team player with excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct a team of maintenance staff, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently.
• Follow schedules and prioritise tasks to ensure timely completion of garden maintenance activities, including planting, hedging, weeding, pruning and fertilising.
• Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to the team to enhance their horticultural skills and safety practices.
• Regularly inspect garden areas to assess their condition, identify improvements needed, and implement corrective actions.
• Interact with clients to understand their preferences, address concerns, and provide updates on maintenance activities.
