Job summary

Ballarat City Council is seeking a Team Leader Children's Services for Girrabanya Integrated Children's Centre. This role leads educators, coordinates educational programs and drives continuous improvement to ensure high-quality outcomes for children and families.

You will collaborate with the Centre Coordinator and Educational Leader, foster a positive team culture, manage operations, and occasionally act as Coordinator. The position is full-time and located at Girrabanya.

Qualifications

• A relevant Early Childhood qualification in accordance with the Education and Care Services National Regulations.
• Experience working within centre-based children's services.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, support and mentor staff.
• Strong knowledge of early childhood legislation, regulations and frameworks.
• Excellent communication, leadership and relationship-building skills.
• Current Working with Children Check, Police Check, First Aid, CPR and Anaphylaxis qualifications.
• A current driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and support to educators, relief staff, students and volunteers.
• Assist in the delivery of high-quality educational programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and service excellence.
• Build strong relationships with children, families and the broader community.
• Assist with compliance, documentation, health and safety, and operational requirements.
• Act in the Coordinator role when required.
